Another birthday rolls by.

As significant birthdays go, this wasn't one of them.  By that I mean it didn't end in a 5 or a 0.  I wasn't getting my driver's license, having my first drink or putting my Medicare card to use.

67.  What can you say about 67?  Not much except I'm here to celebrate it which I'm very happy about.

The celebration started on Saturday (the real birthday was yesterday) at my mom's for lunch with Petey and both of my sisters.

Speaking of sisters - they apparently planned a cake but memory issues and timing took over and this is what they came up with.

I don't know which one of the ran to the candy store in a panic for these sweet treats but as Plan Bs go - it was a good one.

Last night for the "real" birthday Petey and I went to Kalamazoo to a restaurant that we'd only been to once before and were looking forward to a return engagement.

A Monday night and the place was jammed.  We had a short wait and then scored this big ass booth.

Latitude 42 is a brewery but this was our drink of choice.

Petey is a pizza addict so he tried theirs.  I heard a lot of "mmmms" coming from across the table.

I had the blackened shrimp tacos.  I thought when these puppies hit the table that I would only eat two and take the third home so I'd have room for dessert.  Yeah, that didn't happen.  I ate all three.  Oh, my.  So very, very good.

My dessert was this killer brownie with salted caramel ice cream and that's hot fudge and caramel drizzled round and round the whole concoction.  Yeehaw!

Petey dove into this hot apple crumb delight topped with ice cream and caramel drizzle.
We left with full bellies and smiles on our faces.
